The Navigator of the Seas, an enlarged ship of Royal Caribbean, is currently leaving Los Angeles for destinations along the coast of Baja California and the Mexican Riviera.

The Navigator of the Seas is the fourth ship of the Royal Caribbean Voyager class. This cruise ship was built in 2002, but was recently refurbished in 2019 to upgrade the facilities, restaurants and attractions on Royal Caribbean Cruises’ latest cruise ship.

Navigator of the Seas can accommodate 3,990 passengers. From 2002 to 2005, it was the largest cruise ship in the world. She has fifteen decks with swimming pools, waterslides, bars, diverse dining options and activities for all ages.

If you are considering booking a cruise on the Royal Caribbean Voyager, be sure to read this planning and overview guide so you won’t be surprised and ready to explore after boarding.

At first glance, the "Navigator of the Seas" looks large, but it is very simple to get around the ship. Royal Caribbean designs its ships to gather popular areas and attractions into specific areas. The two main hubs of Voyager of the Seas are the Royal Promenade and the Pool Deck.

The Royal Promenade is the main passage of the Voyager of the Seas. The Royal Promenade spans most of deck 5 and houses bars, shops, restaurants and lounges. Whether drinking coffee, buying souvenirs or having a drink, most guests walk through the Royal Promenade several times a day.

The following are the venues located in the Royal Mile:

The Bamboo Room-Polynesian themed bar serving tropical drinks and snacks

Playmakers-Royal Caribbean’s classic sports bar and restaurant, equipped with TV and games such as billiards and shuffleboard

Copper & Clover-British pub with live guitarists in the evening

R Bar-a simple, quiet drink for a drink

Cafe Promenade-A cafe offering fast food, pizza and coffee/ice cream bars

The Collection-Royal Caribbean logo shop, where guests can buy Marine Navigator costumes and souvenirs

Regalia Fine Jewelry-Jewelry shop on board

Port Merchants-Where to buy duty-free liquor, snacks and toiletries

To Dry For-only available on Navigator of the Sea, To Dry For is a blow-drying bar that provides hair blowing and hair styling

Customer Service-a place to resolve any issues or questions related to your cruise experience

Shore Excursion Service Desk-If you have questions about shore excursions or need to book, you can talk to a representative here

After zooming in in 2019, the pool deck of Navigator of the Seas is equipped with a Caribbean-style pool deck commonly found on Royal Caribbean's latest ships. The pool deck has two swimming pools and a whirlpool in its main area, as well as two additional larger whirlpools, overlooking the pool deck on the jogging track deck above.

Children wearing diapers are not allowed to enter the general swimming pool on the boat. Because of this, Navigator of the Sea provides a small splash area on the pool deck. This space is not as large as the Splashaway Bay you might find on other boats, but still provides a fun splash area for babies and toddlers.

There are also cabins in the pool area, which are small covered deck chairs with upholstered pool chairs. Casitas is a great choice for those who want to relax in a more comfortable and shaded place by the pool. There is no additional cost to use the cottage, but it is first come first served. However, in the Ocean Odyssey, there is an additional charge for booking a cabin, so the cabin policy of Ocean Navigator may change in the future.

There are also two dining options on the pool deck: El Loco Fresh and Johnny Rockets Express, and Sprinkles ice cream.

One of the main new additions to the Navigator of the Seas loudspeaker is the addition of The Lime & Coconut to the pool deck. The Lime & Coconut is a tropical theme bar, spanning three decks, with views of the pool deck and the entire ship. The bar provides comfortable lounge chairs and tables, and is a popular place to watch sailing boats. Adjacent to The Lime & Coconut is the pool band, creating a cheerful tropical atmosphere for the venue.

On the first deck of the swimming pool, you will find a jogging track with various comfortable chairs and additional cabins. This area may be a good place to get a chair, as it is usually not as crowded as the main pool deck.

Next to the main pool deck is the solarium, and the pool area on the boat is for adults only. The solarium on the Navigator is not completely indoor, but is a combination of covered and uncovered areas. The solarium has a swimming pool, two large hot tubs and a solarium bar. An added benefit of spending in the solarium is that the pool chairs are padded, which provides guests with more comfort. There are also some free sofa beds.

The pool deck area also extends to the stern and bow of the Navigator of the Seas, where you can find a sports field and Navigator Dunes mini golf course, as well as more lounge areas.

Like every Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Navigator of the Seas offers a variety of supplements and specialty dining options.

The free restaurant is included in your cruise fare, so there is no additional cost to dine there. There is no limit to the number of times you can dine at a particular location, so you can return as you wish. Special restaurants require an extra charge. Some venues have fixed meal costs, while others follow the "pay as you go" model, such as Izumi Sushi.

The following are the dining options on the "Ocean Pilot":

Many passengers on the Navigator have breakfast every day at Windjammer, a buffet that offers a range of American and international cuisine choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Similarly, passengers who choose to dine for free may often find themselves dining in the main restaurant. As a navigator-class ship, the main dining room on the Navigator has three floors and is elegantly decorated. We recommend that you eat at least one meal in the main restaurant to experience the atmosphere of the venue. The main restaurant on the Navigator of the Sea serves breakfast and dinner daily, and lunch on sailing days.

The specialty dining options on the Navigator of the Sea are varied, including many restaurants commonly found on Royal Caribbean cruise ships, such as Chop's Grille and Jamie's Italian. The ship also offers Hooked Seafood, a restaurant that can only be found on the Navigator and Symphony of the Sea. One important thing to note is that the Ocean Voyager only serves Izumi Sushi, not Izumi Hibachi. However, the Izumi sushi menu includes options other than sushi, such as ramen and hot stone cooking options.

Choosing whether to only dine in free restaurants or expand the dining options in specialty restaurants is a decision that all passengers must make. Merely dining at the free venue, you can enjoy a wonderful cruise, because Royal Caribbean is proud to plan a diverse menu selection and provide high-quality food at any dining venue on board.

However, dining in specialty restaurants allows passengers to have a wider range of dining options, including delicacies and meals that may not be found elsewhere on the ship. Those who want to dine in a specialty restaurant may find it valuable to purchase a set menu. If you plan to dine at a specialty restaurant, our recommendation is to buy a 3-night meal package or an unlimited meal package.

Voyager of the Seas provides free performances, music and activities for guests to enjoy.

The iconic drama of the Marine Navigator is the showgirl! Past. exhibit. future. Located in the Royal Theatre, this work tells the journey of a showgirl through choreography, music, elaborate costumes and set design.

In Studio B (skating rink on board), Navigator of the Seas offers iSkate: Reach for the Stars Ice Show. iSkate combines drones and figure skaters to glide freely to the music that the performers love, dazzling the audience.

Our tip for watching the show on board is to make sure you book as early as possible. Making a reservation in the Royal Caribbean app is easy because you can choose the time and date that suits you best. If you forget to book and there are no more places available, please go to Theatre Royal or Studio B before the show and wait to see if there is any extra guest space. Guests often make reservations and forget or decide not to attend, which provides space for guests who have not made a reservation.

However, you don’t have to attend a show to find great entertainment on board. The Navigator of the Sea’s bar and lounge offers live music throughout the day. In Boleros, guests can enjoy Latin music played by live bands (there is also a small space for you to dance). Visitors to the Royal Promenade can stop by the Copper & Clover Bar to listen to most of the acoustic guitarists present at night. Other music options on board include piano music at the Schooner Bar, Caribbean-style music on the pool deck, and evening DJ at the Cosmopolitan Club.

In addition to performances and music, there are other activities to enjoy, such as comedians, trivia, karaoke and game shows. Our suggestion is to check your Cruise Compass or Royal Caribbean app every day to understand what is happening on board.

When you catch a glimpse of the Pilot of the Seas for the first time, you will notice one thing: the waterslide. Royal Caribbean did not skimp on the water slides on the boat during the zoom-in period, the perfect storm water slide is an excitement for people of all ages.

The Blaster is a "water coaster", the longest water slide at sea over 800 feet. The riders on The Blaster used a 2-person raft because they were blown up and surrounded the entire playground area, including the section suspended above the Navigator of the Sea, with only the ocean below. Another water slide on the boat is rapids, which is a head-down water slide where guests can lie on a mat and zip up the boat. The slide part of the Riptide is not only suspended on the water on the side of the boat, but also very clear, which means you can directly see the ocean below.

In addition to the waterslide, there are other activities in the sports field, all of which are included in your cruise fee. The hotel provides a full-size basketball court where guests can shoot basketballs or participate in other activities on the court, such as pickle balls. This is usually the center of marine activities, with championships and free games throughout the day.

There is also a climbing wall in the sports field. Guests of all ages can test their strengths by climbing walls, and beginners and more challenging routes are provided here. Special events are often held on the rock wall, such as speed climbing challenges and night climbing courses.

Behind the sports field, you will find the FlowRider surfing simulator. Guests can try bodyboarding and surfing, as FlowRider emits turbulent water.

In addition to the sports field, there are many other activities to choose from on the Marine Pilot. In front of the boat is Navigation Dune, a free mini golf course. Inside the boat, guests can enjoy ice skating in Studio B.

The escape room is a popular activity that requires an extra charge. Guests can make an appointment to challenge themselves and complete this interactive puzzle in the Royal Caribbean app.

Although Marine Navigator offers exciting waterslides, performances, music, etc., some guests are looking for a more peaceful place. Fortunately, there are many ways to meet your health needs on board.

The Vitality fitness center on the Navigator of the Seas has more space than other Voyager-class ships, and provides free weights, aerobics, and weightlifting equipment. It also has a spacious room and offers exercise classes such as yoga and spinning. Most of the equipment faces the large windows, so you can enjoy the sea view while exercising.

If you are looking for a more tranquil experience, the Vitality Spa and Salon on the Marine Pilot will help you. A variety of spa treatments can be booked, including massages, facials and nail treatments. Our recommendation is to take a free spa tour on the first day of your voyage to learn more about the treatments available.

Those looking for a quiet space to relax on board should explore the Promenade deck on deck 4. The Promenade deck is an outdoor pedestrian area that spans the entire circumference of the Mariner. In addition, the helipad can be accessed from the Promenade deck, which is a peaceful place to relax or watch the boats go through the sea.

The Marine Navigator has a variety of cabins, including interior, exterior, balcony and suites. Below is an overview of the cabins you can choose when booking a cruise:

As the name suggests, the interior room of the Navigator of the Sea is located inside the ship. These rooms have no windows or balconies. For passengers with limited budgets and those who do not plan to spend too much time in the cabin, an interior room may be a good choice.

If you want to upgrade from an indoor room, but don't necessarily want to splurge on the balcony, the indoor promenade landscape is an option to consider. The interior gallery room is an interior room with windows overlooking the royal gallery, which can help you to have more contact with the ship in the cabin.

Exterior cabins are usually located on the lower deck or front of the ship. Each exterior cabin has portholes with sea views. These rooms are usually more expensive than interior cabins, but cheaper than balconies.

Balcony rooms are extremely popular cabin options for cruise passengers. In the past, cruise ships had almost no balconies when they were built, but new cruise ships now have balconies on each side of the ship. The balcony rooms at Navigator of the Seas are a great choice for those looking for a private outdoor space. The balcony can not only enjoy the wonderful sea view, but also increase the living space of the cabin.

Junior suites are more spacious than the rooms mentioned above, and also have a larger balcony space. In addition, the junior suite has a complete bathtub, upgraded bathroom amenities, and provides double crowns and anchor association points. However, as a junior suite rather than a regular suite, some of the benefits are different. For example, the junior suite does not include access to the suite lounge or free room service.

Voyager of the Seas provides guests with a variety of suites, including two-bedroom deluxe suites, royal suites and owner suites. These cabins are very spacious, with separate living, dining and sleeping areas, as well as oversized balconies. The Royal Suite on the Navigator is particularly spacious, with a living room, mini bar, dining table, piano, two bathrooms and a master bedroom. The Ocean Navigator suite enjoys a range of benefits, including access to the suite lounge, concierge services, priority dining and spa reservations, free room service, and reserved seats during performances.

For some guests, choosing which cabin to choose can be a difficult decision. The most effective method for one passenger may not work for another passenger, so it is important to check your vacation style and budget before choosing a cabin.

Do you plan to only sleep and shower in the cabin and have a limited budget? The indoor cabin may be best for you. Do you like the privacy and extra space of your balcony? Are you looking for an enhanced cruising experience that can be found in your suite? Asking yourself these questions can help narrow your cabin options.

You may also want to bid in the RoyalUp program. RoyalUp is a bidding system in which guests can bid for upgraded cabins before sailing. Using the sliding scale, you can choose how much each person bids.

Your chance of winning the bid depends on many factors, such as the capacity of the vessel and the amount you bid. Usually, you will receive an email about a month before sailing, inviting you to participate in RoyalUp.
